El alumnado de 1ºBachillerato B ha contribuido con sus brillantes ideas a hacernos reflexionar sobre cómo podemos mejorar con pequeños gestos nuestro trato con el medio ambiente. En la materia de Inglés, han escrito ensayos usando la lengua extranjera para intentar promover cambios que favorezcan al desarrollo sostenible.
Os dejamos algunas muestras y sería todo un placer que esta segunda lengua nos ayude a recapacitar en algunos de nuestros «mejorables» hábitos.
«Nowadays, everybody is concerned about the protection of the environment, it’s a popular topic and we all know how important it is for us and our health, but very few people really do something about it, which seems ironic because everybody can help, even if it is the minimum thing you could do. As a result of that, things are getting worse and we need to take action before it’s too late, and, luckily, there are many simple ways of doing this:
To start, plastic pollution is worrying since the plastic isn’t easy to recycle; consequently, it would be convenient to completely avoid plastic bags, cups or plates, and, the major enemy: plastic straws. This is quite easy because we have these things available in some other materials like cardboard and glass. Furthermore, another thing that’s vital is the air pollution caused by vehicles and factories. What we can do about it is using public transport or sharing your car with, for example, your coworkers when you are commuting. Of course, there are more initiatives like electric cars and solar panels, but those are not affordable to everybody.
To conclude, it’s really easy to protect the environment and everybody, with no exceptions can do something about it. I highly believe that this is our responsibility and we have to make a difference.»
